january curve

i heard that its more lenient than those of other months. is that true?

The curve for specific months is a complete hoax. It depends on the questions, the passages and sometimes luck. The sat is graded on a scale, so they try to make sure that the score from one test is the same as another. In my experience, people with low scores get almost the exact same score on a second try. People with higher scores tend to go up and down 50-100 points, depending on test questions, particular paragraphs. For example, if one is interested in all the passages for the cr for a particular test, things will be different.
I’ve heard people talk about how more juniors take the sat in january so it should be an easier curve. I don’t think so. Those people know what they’re doing.
