I feel like smacking anyone who complains about scores when they got above 700 in at least one section.

knights, i know the feeling. id be happy to simply stick my little toe into the 700's, yet there are ppl who get 730's and are complaining that they "failed it". yes, i understand that ivies and other top tier colleges want high scores which is what im striving for as well, but theres so much more to an application. well, this is my opinion, written from the "above-average-but-not-the-typical-CC-genius student"

I totally agree

Im some what disappointed. Like the previous posters I thought I got at least 700 in reading or writing. Then again I went on vacation and didn't really study during winter break. Also I knew I was going to take it again in July anyway, regardless of my score. So i guess I got what i deserved.

I guess I shouldn't be too upset since it was my first time, but I'm really unhappy with my math score... I got an 80 on the PSAT math and am positive I can do better. Oh well, sixteen days until I try again.

ah get out of here. i got a 2020, highest being 690 in math. im disappointed, but just becuase i wanted to break 700, not because i consider 740 a failure. the 25/75 percentile that US News uses, even for the ivies, shows numbers 700+ in all sections well within acceptance range.

how do you know your essay score already?

Dumb question...Did you get your SAT scores back in the mail already or is there some way to check them on the internet?

you can check them at the collegeboard site. The detailed reports won't be available on-line until 2/27, I believe, but the scores are there.

Zebes ... thrilled with 700 cr and 740 math for D's first time. Writing ... um, she needs to work on that. LOL (580)

DS is a gifted slacker with HS GPA of 2.7.
PSAT score = 204 (commended, I think) R(64) M(80) W(60)
SAT score = 2070 R(690) M(740) W(640)

UC/CSU weighted gpa = 3.1ish.
What are his chances with the UC's and Cal Poly SLO?

Physics 800

I feel like such a tool. The math test was WAY easier than the Physics test, and I guess I sort of half-assed it. Oh well.

Maybe I should've actually done a practice test or studied or something (Ha, the night before I was like "Oh shoot! Let's look over a hot words list")? Oh well. Not much I can do about it now.

Still in the 91st percentile, but I should've done better.

I took the SAT for the first time. I didn't study at all either because I really just wanted to see what areas I needed to work in. I don't really like my scores but everybody assures me they're high.

M: 550 - 100 points lower than my usual score...weird. (61%)

Re-taking in May to get that math score back up to 650-ish. I don't know what happened there...could have been a stupid bubbling error. Yikes.
