January SAT for RD

I have finished applying to

Pace
Columbia Chicago
Southern California
Virginia Tech
George Mason
Christopher Newport
James Madison

I particularly want to send this upcoming SAT to USC, but on their website I believe it says they cannot guarantee it will make it in time for review. It would also be nice to send it to the other schools on my list for hopefully better merit aid.

I took one ACT in Dec while I was sick and tired and didn’t do well, but I am sure I will do much better on the SAT.

My scores were 24C 25E 24M 26R 19S

I have already sent these scores blindly and now regret that decision. My hope is USC will look at my new SAT even though it is past the deadline. Do you think I will have any luck?

USC is my top choice and my practice SAT scores have been in their range, I just wish I planned better with this whole testing situation. Any advice is appreciated.

basically i have the same situation with NYU, but I applied as ED and also I have a little hope that they might see my january scores. i think that they are just kind of upset, but if you applied as RD, most likely they will see your scores. however, this is a typical thing that they claim that they will not see those scores. no worries. just tell them that you would love them to take a look at those scores because they might be helpful in your application.

Let’s hope it works out in our favor. Thanks for the reassurance. @classlena

Well just my luck. My test center was closed due to the blizzard, and the make up is not until Feb 20th. I guess I got my answer there LOL.

I hope you get into your top choice. I do think it is a good opportunity to make a point to any juniors or sophomores who might read this: if you live in an area of winter weather, do not wait for the January test date. As you have learned, there is no guarantee that the Jan test will happen on schedule. Any student who is relying on a January test result might find themselves in a problematic situation. Best of luck to you.
