January SAT scores received?

I took my final SAT in January and sent the scores to Princeton. But, since I already took SAT I and SAT II in 2010, Princeton sent me an e-mail in December saying that my application is complete; the thing is that the website doesn't show the status of application parts anymore so I have no idea if the scores were received. Is it appropriate to contact the admissions office to ask?

Btw. was my application reviewed before the January scores arrived or did the adcom wait for them to arrive?

If you had already sent scores from a different SAT test then they probably assumed your application was complete. They would have no way of knowing that more scores were on the way. If your scores arrived before they viewed your app, then they probably counted them.

Princeton likely received your January scores. I took my subject tests for the first time in January, and the day I received my scores I also received an email from Princeton saying my application was complete.

@Kajon - Well, actually, in the Common Application section for standardized testing, we were supposed to write a date for future testing dates (if any). I did put 01/2011, so would they consider that to be a sign that I would take another SAT?

Yes, they would note that in your application and put off review until they were received. However, bear in mind that SAT’s intrinsically mean little, so though they may not have already looked at your SAT score part of it, it is entirely possible that it has already been read and a tentative decision has been made, contingent upon your final SAT scores.

That’s good to hear. Thanks for the answer.
