January SATII-- please help! :)

My chances of getting into Georgetown are... not so great. Nonetheless, I LOVE the school, and I would have applied EA if the acceptance rate was higher/ they looked at writing SAT II.

Regardless, I am going to apply RD if I don't get into my ED school (Wash U) though I have only taken 2 SAT IIs. I know they require 3, and I didn't want to take a third before I find out from Wash U. So I'm going to sign up for the January SAT II, show Georgetown that I am taking it, and rush my scores as soon as they come... do you think this is okay?

Thanks!
Good luck to you all!

they don't require SAT IIs, the website says "you should" send three. I'd still take the extra one to be on the safe side.

Wait, are you sure wc? I know when I was there they said that if you apply EA it's okay if you don't have all three, but you should plan on taking it and sending your scores because they'd like to see them... and I think they assume all RD applicants will send in 3. But that's good to know, so they won't throw out my application if I don't have 3 SAT IIs...

"All candidates, whether they submit scores from the SAT or ACT, should submit scores from 3 SAT II subject tests. The writing portion on the new SAT will not be substituted for an SAT II subject test score."

It says "should", but I'd still take three if I were you.

good call, thanks again wc :)

Also, there's no need to rush your scores. The school actually asks that you don't.
