I am applying to UVA, and have not yet taken any SAT IIs. If I take them in January, will they be considered? I could not find any information on the website.

I would like to know this also.

Those of you applying RD will probably want to send scores by the end of November to make sure they're here by January 2nd.

Notes from Peabody: The UVA Application Process: October SAT scores late

Rush the scores and hope for the best. Admissions cannot guarantee that they will be looked at since the scores may not come in time to be put in your folder. However, make sure you still send a score report for your SAT I scores.

That blog post is from 2006.

If you look at the Office of Admission website you'll find your answer in the timeline. December scores WILL get to us in time for the review process. January scores will come very late in the review process (mid to late February). There's no guarantee that your scores will arrive before we review your application.

Thank you for your kind reply, Dean J. Would I be better off not taking the SAT IIs in that case?

But, if you are wait-listed, wouldn't it be a good idea to have taken those SAT II's in Jan so that they can be submitted to UVA promptly? Just in case enough accepted students decline to attend, and they get down to your name on the waitlist?
