January test date. Worth taking? Looking for advice

Hi everyone. I'm sure there's another thread on this type of question somewhere, but I wasn't able to find one in my searches.

Right now, I have a 29 superscore ACT, 28 composite, and 1220/1840 SAT. I have taken the ACT several times, while I've only tried the SAT once (with no prep). On the ACT, I have a 34 english, 29 reading, 27 math, and 26 science. I've been told that I should have focused more on the SAT because the CR portion of the SAT if similar to the english portion of the ACT, so I'd probably do well if I prepared myself.

So, my question is: Do I take the SAT in January for the last time? If I did, I'd really prepare and try to get a great score. However, most of the schools that I'm applying to say that they can't guarantee that the Jan test date will arrive in time in order for it to be considered.

Does anyone have any expeience with this? Is it worth prepping for the Jan test and doing well or is that too late?

Thanks so much for your help!

I would recommend you to take March test instead. Since international students (living abroad) cannot take March test, you will hit higher score than usual. If you are trying to take it for the last time, you definitely should take March test instead of January because some schools in abroad, such as New Zealand and Korea, ends in December, they have more time to prepare tests than you.
