January too late for SATs?

Do common app schools accept January SAT II scores?

anyone know?

You will probably have to check with each school. On the Swarthmore discussion board there was a question about this. The applicant called the admissions office and was told that the January SAT II scores would be OK if the scores were rushed to the college. I imagine that each college may answer differently.

I was interested in this too and it differs from college to college.

I called MIT and they actually said that you have to rush them, but if a snow storm occurs and the date is resecheduled, they will not accept them.

weird...

The Jan test is really late this year - Jan 27th I believe. So rescheduling them to the next week would put them in Feb.

Why is the Jan test date so late? More schools could probably accept Jan SATs in time if they were the first week of Jan rather than the last. Is there a reason it's so late?

maybe Collegeboard assumes that people are enjoying their holidays instead of studying for the SAT so instead of having it the Saturday of the week that kids go back to school, they push it back so its later?

anyways, last year it was the 28th, so it didn't change much....

besides, 1.5 years of SAT test dates should be enough to choose just a few of them for SATs and SAT IIs (plus some SAT IIs could even be taken in June of one's sophomore year)
