Has anyone lived here currently or recently?

It looks really nice, but I'm wondering what others with personal experience think of it? Is it very loud?

I live right across the street from J26.

It’s nice, but expensive. There are several firetrucks that come there (for reasons I don’t know) like every other week lol. Don’t know what’s going on in there. Don’t think it’s that loud… I’d live there if I could afford it.

Where do you live that you can afford? Firetrucks…huh, very weird. I heard so many bad things about it, but it can’t be all THAT bad, can it? Some people are able to handle it fine, it seems?

I’ve never been inside (I live across the street too - Jefferson West isn’t so hot either) but from what I have seen from the outside it’s…

Maybe it’s just the people facing Rio Grande street but they are seriously crazy.

I work at night so I’m always walking past it at night since that’s the only way to walk back to my apartment unless I want to walk in the dark under creepy trees. So it’s not just on the weekends, it’s very constant.

People climb out of their balconies because they’re too lazy to go around to the doors and J26’s balconies are made in a way that doing that is kinda dangerous, especially drunk. I’ve seen people’s balcony screen’s ripped from the doors and lying on the sidewalks. I’ve seen really intense fist fights.

If you live there, don’t live on the 1st floor facing the outside. I’m not sure if those people are getting targeted or are just crazy a$$ people doing stuff to themselves or what but the balconies and the windows on the 1st floor get a lot of abuse. Also the 1st floor (facing Rio Grande) is on the same street where one of the West Campus E Bus stops are and it’s literally just a few feet away.

And no one was really around but around the 19thish of Dec someone threw like 3 or four beer bottles from their balcony and a huge portion of the sidewalk was completely un-walkable.

And I’ve heard the fire alarm so many times too. I didn’t know they were going to J26 but I wouldn’t be surprised.

But again this is only my experience with the side of J26 facing Jefferson West.

If you think you can deal, go ahead but when you sign the year long lease…

^ Lol. I’m on the side on 26th street. Haven’t seen anyone doing crazy stuff like that. I do hear the fire alarms. And there are some crazy people. But I like the location because it’s close to the bus stops and campus. :D

I can give you a tour… a tour that the J26 people wont show you. They’ll show you all the pretty things but as soon as you open another door youll find broken doors, hanging EXIT signs, throw up, broken elevators and people tend to use the stairwells as bathrooms.
