<p>My best friend from my old school is now a finalist. He actually lives in Charlottesville, first person in our school to get past the first interview. I’m so excited for him! Congrats to everyone who has reached this far, it’s truly a well-deserved achievement!!</p>

There’s no need to fly! It’s a 3-3.5 hour drive, depending on the time of day. You could also take Amtrak. Flying down will take longer and cost more.</p>
<p>You can’t fly direct commercially. You’ll have to fly to Charlotte, NC for a layover before coming to CHO.</p>

<p>Don’t know how to quote on this, but UVA or bust said that it strengthens your chances of getting in- the site says you’re guaranteed admission if you’re a finalist. :)</p>
