<p>FBI TomBoy…My Congrats to you! I was on the Jefferson Scholarship Committee back in the day (1990) from Philadelphia and you must be are an incredible candidate! All I can tell you is…if you want a school with top notch teaching but a supportive environment…UVA is the one for you. In my time, no one (ie…students) asked about my grades which I found refreshing. I took business courses at Penn after graduating, and I found the atmosphere so cut throat there. It was so different from my experience at UVA. I was so grateful in retrospect to have the learning experience I had at UVA…supportive but not cut throat…and SO MUCH FUN!!!</p>

<p>JonDrums you actually get nominated by your school’s counseling office. Each school has a different (some the same) protocol for their selection process. I would ask your school’s guidance department/college counselor how a student is chosen for your particular school as well as what former nominees stats have been in years past.</p>

<p>I’m the finalist from St. Louis, Missouri and I’m so pumped for the weekend. I haven’t seen the school yet, but I hear the campus is exquisite. Let’s hope for some good weather.</p>
<p>I personally love the campus. The weather is set to be sunny on Thursday and Friday, then raining Saturday and Sunday. The temperature forecast is low-50s to mid-60s. So not the best weather, but don’t let that mess up our weekend.</p>
