<p>“Chen will attend Princeton University in the fall, where she hopes to attend the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, she said.</p>

<p>“The senior has competed on the school speech and debate team, participated in science fair, founded the Young Independents political discussion group and is the editor of the school's Bare literary magazine.</p>

<p>“While she has maintained her No. 1 status and could be the school's final valedictorian [her high school is doing away with class rankings], Chen has maintained her humility.</p>

<p>"I think it's kind of cool," Chen said. "I don't define my life by it. It just happened."</p>
