Jennings or Broward?

Hello,

I'm trying to finalize my choices for housing. I have Hume and Beaty as my first and second choice, but because I picked roomate as my first preference I'm dealing with a November 15th application date so my placement in either of those houses is iffy. As a result I'm trying to put a less highly demanded dorm as my 3rd choice, but also something that I'd like to stay in. I've came down to Broward (or Rawlings) or Jennings. I'd kinda prefer Broward over Jennings, but I know Broward is one of the more popular freshmen dorms so I don't know if I'll be able to get in there with my application date. Is jennings any easier to get into than Broward? and do I have good chances of getting into Broward if I put that down?

If you want to live at Jennings, put it as your first choice.

Rawlings, Broward, and Jennings are all good places to live in your first year. There are a lot of freshman, they’re close to most classes, and you’ll hear about a lot of events going on since you’re a freshman.

Try to avoid the north of campus(Murphree, Buckman, Thomas, etc) and live in the Broward area.

Tolbert/East area isn’t bad either, but it’s not as central to where everything happens on campus, like classes in Turlington and Little Hall.
