Would anybody have an idea how selective it is to get into the summer program?

The essay is as follows:
Recall an experience that sparked your interest in studying both management and technology concurrently. Reflect on your experience as it relates to your interest in attending the Management & Technology Summer Institute.

How would you reveal yourself through this essay? How would you distinguish yourself from other applicants?

Thanks!

For college admissions, M&T is more selective than Wharton. Some kids were accepted to Wharton but not M&T. I would assume the same thing for Summer program. This program is more selective than LBW.

Does this apply to the summer program? I got the impression that the LBW summer program was more selective than M&T. LBW seems like a really good summer program. But, I thought that if I had a chance at all, it would be M&T since I’m more of a math/science person who is interested in exploring business.

I checked and it’s only 3 week for nearly the same price as the LBW. I also called M&T, out of curiosity, and was told that last year about 200 students applied for 50 slots. I don’t know how many applied to LBW but there are 120 slots there. Edit to add last year 343 applied to LBW program. So 120/383=30%, while 50/200=25% so I think this program is more selective.
