I'm interested in Georgetown but I heard that it was Jesuit-style education, so I was wondering what that was. One of my friends the other day sounded rather skeptical when she spoke about it.

Jesuit education focuses on the education of the whole person. It also looks upon knowledge as a tool for creating good in the world rather than an end in itself.

Thanks guys.

So then is Georgetown really religious or something?

Not so much religious, as not seeing things in a vacuum and looking for the larger implications of knowledge.

It means you will gain a basic understanding of how Philosophy, History, Theology, Literature and Science have informed the greatest minds in the History of Man before you load up your schedule with all electives. It means you will be exposed to those who believe that the measure of a great educations cannot be recorded in your bank account.
