Jewish life at Union

What can anyone tell me about Jewish life at Union? My son is not overly religious (although he keeps semi-kosher) but does not want to feel lonely on campus.

Although I am not Jewish, I am familiar with Union in the respect that it has a very large and welcoming Jewish community. Hillel has a ranking of percentage of Jewish students at colleges and universities and Union is near the top of that list. Your son should be quite comfortable at Union.

Union definitely has an active Hillel and Jewish community. I've known several Jews (reform and conservative) who've gone there who spoke very highly of this aspect.

Several Jewish students from our area attend Union, and I also know several alumni of Union who are Jewish. All have only positive things to say about their experiences at Union. More than 17% of current students identify themselves as Jewish -- that's more than 350 students out of a student body of 2100. I don't think he'll be lonely at all.

thanks for all the replies.

we are trying to find a good time to visit. my son is really intersted in the concept of the minerva houses. any info on what the students make of them and how they may have impacted social life on campus?
