Hi everyone. I'm Jewish and I was wondering what the Jewish population at Wake Forest is.
Is it very small? Is it growing?
Thanks!

There aren't a ton of Jewish students at Wake Forest. I believe they are starting a Wake Forest Hillel group this year. Wake is a very Christian school, but they want to change that, so I think you would see (the WF Hillel--if I'm not mistaken) other faiths gaining prominence. I couldn't see someone of another faith not fitting in at Wake Forest or being judged or anything and I know some Jewish students that are doing quite well at Wake Forest. But being a Jewish applicant will definitely be in your favor to get admissions, because Wake Forest is looking for all sorts of diversity--regional, racial, religious, etc.

most schools are around 10%....wake has a population of under 2 % to give u an idea...im jewish as well and have researched it

Thanks so much! This was a huge help!!

I could be wrong, but I think that they've had a Wake Forest Hillel for a number of years now. I know that they had it my sophomore year, at least (it could've stalled since then and is now being essentially restarted, though).

I recommend the WFU Hillel website:

Wake Forest University Hillel

There's a lot of information there...
