True. I was terrified of the numbers at Purdue - between 1 and 2 percent depending on where you look. 500 students. But the Hillel was lovely, inviting and bustling on a random weekday morning. The new-ish director is working hard to build programming and relationships with other campus organizations. Students stop by for coffee and tea, for bagel brunches, etc. DS ultimately didn’t choose Purdue but felt if he had he’d have had a nice community. Also, no real BDS movement there. Edited to add: this is the older DS - a first year in college. Other one is a junior in HS - he’s the one more concerned about active BDS movements on campus.
