Jews Accepted?

I've heard that WashU is 1/3 Jewish. True? False? Since a load of people have been posting acceptances, I was wondering if you could say whether or not you are Jewish.

In the "Official Decisions Thread" people list their ethnicities.... There are a few Jewish people. (Is it politically correct to say "Jew?")

Well, people aren't posting Jewish for their ethnicity because when you fill out the Common App, you put "white" not "Jewish." But there are a ton of Jewish kids at Wash U. When I visited, I was really surprised by the high number of boys in yarmulkes that I saw.

aerodynamicdeskset--nice reference to the D.P.S.

thanks! first person to notice/comment on it!

What is the point of your question?

I was just wondering if the incoming class/those accepted who post on here is 1/3 Jewish like I've heard. Nothing against being Jewish...just trying to get a gauge on the religious organizations at WUSTl.

The Jewish community at WashU is very strong...as is the Pro-Israel community.

I'm Jewish, and I was accepted.

I have no idea which thread to post this on so here I am. I would like to hear from students majoring in music, particularly piano performance. Do you feel your interests are taken seriously. Are you receiving instruction that would be comparable to Vanderbilt or Ill. Wesleyan? Thank you for your help.

Averagewoman: I'm very interested in information about the music department, as well. Why don't you make a thread to put your question out in the open where it is more likely to be answered?

I don't know how to start a new thread. Duh

uhh at the bottom of the screen listing threads, there should be a button "new thread." Press it!!!
