As a Jew it is important to me that there is at least a small amount of Jews in this school.....so if anyone is or knows of any amount or percentage of Jews at Suny Geneseo please let me know

I know Binghamton is more known for the high jewish population.

there is a jewish community at geneseo, but it is not known for having a particularly dynamic one -- only you can tell how much of a jewish community is enough for you.

there are a lot of Long Islanders going to geneseo
There are a lot of Jewish people on Long Island
Therefore, I would say there is a fair amount of Jewish people at Geneseo

btw, i'll be one of them :)

You might want to check out U of R's Hillel ... about 40 minutes north. ;)

I'm a freshman here at Binghamton.

85% of the people I've met are Jewish.
Of that 85%, about 90% are from NYC/NJ/Long Island. It drives my upstate mind crazy.

You looking for a large Jewish population? It's here.

according to the hillel website....there are 300

The Jewish student population is slightly over 30% at SUNY-Binghamton & about 30% at SUNY-Albany. SUNY-Oneonta leads with 36%. In terms of number of Jewish students at each school, it is about 2,000 at Oneonta, 3,500 at Albany & 3,000 at Binghamton.

there are 2 people on my floor who are jews. we don't have a big population, and we don't get the school days off, but you can request the days off and the professors won't give you a problem. jews can take the days off, but we don't ahve a big enough population that everyone gets the days off.
