I know the "strongly recommended" for the subject tests.

What is the JHU preference for ACT versus SAT?

Thanks in advance for your input.

[Johns Hopkins University Office of Undergraduate Admissions - Apply - Standardized Test Requirements](http://apply.jhu.edu/apply/testreqs.html) : "The SAT Reasoning Test or the ACT with Writing Test is required. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit up to three SAT subject tests.

Applicants interested in an engineering major are strongly encouraged to submit scores from the Mathematics Level 2 SAT subject test, at least one science SAT subject test, and one other SAT subject test."

To quote Admissions_Daniel: “There is a very simple answer to your question – the Admissions committee has absolutely no preference between the SAT Reasoning or ACT with Writing exams. Applicants may choose to take either exam and submit their scores, or choose to take both exams and submit both sets of scores. The “right test” is which ever you feel you can do best on.”

There really is no preference. I submitted just the ACT and subject tests, some of my friends submitted the SAT, some the ACT, it doesn’t really matter! Hope this helps

A friend of mine submitted just her ACT score and just listed her SAT II’s on her application without sending the scores directly and she just got in ED in December.

No preference.

Thanks hopkid for posting the links.
