mine still says submitted…is that true?

Mine only says submitted for the parent ed form… but everything else, including the counselor ED form, says downloaded, so I don’t think it means we’re rejected/deferred, 'cause why would they download one ED form and not the other?

ya my counselor form says downloaded as well. i guess it doesn’t make sense. but then why do the parent ed forms only say submitted?

Yeah that’s why I’m really worried. Everything else is downloaded EXCEPT for the parent form. And since it’s two days before the release day, it’s not like they haven’t finished looking at most of the applications already. Idk, but maybe, they look at it only after they’ve decided to accept you? Because the form isn’t really a necessary part of your application…that’s why I’m asking if anyone’s form is actually downloaded.

that’s the exact same thing I was thinking earlier, but I think @onerepublic96’s argument makes sense. The counselor agreement isn’t really necessary either, but they downloaded that anyway–it’s just some weird incongruency, i think

can someone ask an accepted student whether theirs said downloaded or submitted? (even if the student was accepted at another school?)

i don’t know anyone else! ah

Less than 2 days left now guys… Anyone else feel like they want to cry and laugh at the same time? haha College decisions are going to be the death of me… :P

i just feel like I’m going to be so unmotivated if i get rejected I’m actually glad its on a friday… so we have the weekend to let us get over it

Where on the Common App can you find which forms were downloaded versus submitted?

Nvm, I found it. Lol, my counselor opted out of the electronic forms and decided to submit everything via mail

The “assign recommenders” portion i believe, mine also says everything is downloaded except the parent ED agreement

i know this was discussed earlier in the thread and some peoples said downloaded. maybe it just has to do with when you submitted it?

yeah maybe, I also remember someone mentioning that AdmissionsDaniel said in a previous post that the commonapp wasn’t accurate and not to worry about what it said.

well i sure hope that thats true

This required some digging through the archives but I think it helps settle this. AdmissionsDaniel posted this in a thread about 4-5 years ago.

“Additionally, be aware that our system does not directly connect with the Common Application system to update the status of processed materials. Because the Common Application site says something has not been received / processed, that does not mean that is the status of those materials in our office. This is especially true of any mailed materials.”

my parent form was done electronically but i guess thats somewhat reassuring

@eps96
whoa! that’s soo cool
my first choice was GECS as well!

Mine says downloaded for everything except for the parent forms too! Does the parent ED agreement form say “downloaded” for anyone?

Also, mine were downloaded on different days (if that has any relevance). Like, everything except the ED agreement was downloaded on different days.

My counselor submitted my signed ED form by mail, so that might have something to do with it. Plus, if they were missing anything important, they would have contacted us :)
