Hello. To cut to the chase, here are my stats (and I know that JHU has holistic admissions, etc.) but I just want to know my realistic chances of getting accepted into JHU Early Decision (NOT BME)

Miscellaneous:
- Fluent in English and Korean. Elementary in Japanese (schooled) and Mandarin Chinese (self learned)
- Didn't play many sports in high school. In Badminton freshman year I was Team Captain but replaced halfway through season due to age/lack of experience within team. I ran in Cross Country Sophomore year. I'm probably not going to mention sports in my app at all.
- Enjoy singing and playing guitar. I post singing videos on Youtube from time to time. Not sure if I'll mention this in my app.
- Enjoy solving various types of Rubik's cubes/mechanical puzzles. I never looked at a tutorial and figured 2 or 3 out on my own. Not sure if I'll mention this in my app.

With these in mind, what are my chances for Johns Hopkins University Early Decision? (NOT BME)
Also (less importantly) what are my chances at New York University, UC Berkeley, UCLA Regular Decision?

Thanks very much.

i don’t know a lot about these schools, but your resume is great! your biggest weakness is your uw gpa. i think this school should be a high match for you! NYU is a match too. I don’t know anything about Berkeley, but i’d say UCLA is about the same as JHU. sorry i don’t know a ton i hope this helps a little

I would say your chances are very good. Probably in the neighborhood of something like 50-65%?

TBH I think you are in. As long as the colleges see improvement in grades, they tend to forgive. I would say 70% chance acceptance. Thanks for chancing my thread

I think you have a great chance for Hopkins as long as your essay is good :)

bumpity bump

I just think that your extracurriculars are a bit scattered as in not focusing in on what you want to do in the future. Besides that, you have a really good chance!!
