<p>First off, I'm a Baltimore area girl with a mom who used to be a professor at Hopkins, so I don't really need to know about campus, acceptance, etc (not saying I'll get in, just that I'm more familiar with it than some). So, please just answer my question.
I know Hopkins is mainly a math/science school. However, I would like to know about the strength of their language (French and/or German) and Political Science programmes. Any help would be nice; I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth doing an official visit.</p>
<p>JHU French program is considered one of the best in North America. The German department was shuttered and merged with romance languages but surprisingly even after the merger has still retained a good reputation. Politics wise, JHU is really good.</p>
