JHU HOME program 2020

Checking to see if anyone will be applying this year. It will be virtual of course. D21 will be applying soon. She doesn’t have a standardized test score. She’s already been accepted to Harvey Mudd’s. So she will be attending that one for sure.

My son applied to HOME +Impact. Fingers crossed, good luck to your daughter!

@mom2boys1999 my daughter also applied to HOME +Impact. Good luck to your son as well.

yay! D21 just received her acceptance into both the Home and +Impact program.

@mom2boys1999 has your son heard back yet? I’m wondering if they will have more spots since it’s virtual? They only said the +Impact cohort would be limited but the normal HOME program Im thinking would not be.

Sadly still nothing. SO frustrating. Just say one way or the other! GRRR

Wow! That is very strange and he contacted them? They were really good at responding. Also Deadline Extended to September 30

Anyone else accepted to the JHU HOME +Impact program for 2020?

I was accepted!

@EGHopeful ^^

@yagirl932 Wonderful to hear. Are you planning on both the HOME and +Impact? D21 is attending both and is VERY excited as it’s her top choice school. She attended the one for Harvey Mudd and they created a Discord group for attendees which was nice as they were able to get to know each other prior.

I applied on Sep 29 and I just got in today! Proof that it doesn’t matter how early/late you apply! Congrats everyone!!

I sent mine on the 9/19 and I have still not heard back… Will they let me know if I don’t get in? I am a bit worried.

I think my essay was pretty good, I couldn’t sit for SAT/ACT, my class rank is 5/490, and mi gpa 9.4/10.

I hope they will let me know…

Congratulations @StanRay, and you are right, it doesn’t matter. Prior to the extension D applied a few days prior and accepted within the week as well. So are you attending both programs or just the HOME?

@internationalanto your credentials look solid and D also didn’t have an SAT or ACT as they’ve all been cancelled. It states on their page the following “All students will be notified of their status by October 12.” so either way you will find out then.

Fingers crossed you will still hear good news.
