JHU Humanities Professors

Who are some of the good history/economics professors?

William Rowe is the top expert on Chinese Qing Dynasty History in America.

I can only speak for history, but we have some incredible professors…many of whom are experts in their field like BlueJayBJ mentioned.

Michael Johnson
Richard Kagan
John Marshall
Mary Ryan
Gabrielle Spiegel
Ronald Walters

Even many of the lesser known professors are great. It’s an amazing department.

See my and YanksDolphin’s posts in [this thread](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/johns-hopkins-university/1115116-political-science-jhu.html) for some discussion on econ professors.

This is one of my fave humanities profs who is STILL teaching there and VERY popular:

^^ Even as an engineering major, Dr. Macksey was without a doubt my favorite professor at Hopkins. Great to hear he’s still teaching - when I graduated in 2009, he was considering retiring after another year or so

whoa thanks for sharing that vid!
