Hey everyone, if there's already a thread for this, link please :D

According to the website decisions are being released mid-April through May and I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything!!

I applied and didnt hear anything yet… seems like theres not much people from CC that applied to JHU?

Transfer from 4 year public university. 4.0 gpa in materials engineering.

I guess, have to wait one more week…

@kbc4girls- congrats! how did you receive the information? email-mail

Congrats!
I was wondering the same thing as mypasswordis

I tried logging into mypasswordis’s account using passwords ranging from mypassword/is to passwordis/password. Guess the password isn’t stated in your username lol

I’ve applied for fall transfer to JHU as well… have some of you have received acceptance letters? I was under the impression I wouldn’t be hearing anything until June… but maybe that’s just Georgetown, which is another school I’m obviously waiting to hear back from. I’m on pins and needles right now, because this is my top choice school. I plan to enter the Cognitive Science program with a minor in psych… though I hover over neurosci major psych minor. I just got accepted to my backup schools, University of Virginia and University of Richmond, and I’m transferring from a CC with a 4.0. I feel like I have a great shot at getting in, but who knows, these college admissions can be tricky…

It’s like everyday I check my email or snailmail… my heart stops beating for a second, hoping to see something lovely with JHU’s emblem on it.

I’m waiting as well. Someone said they’ve received acceptance but I don’t believe it. I’ve got into my backup transfers (from CC also) and Hopkins is really my top choice so I can’t wait! I hope they release it in the next week or so.

@BTdubs - what’s your area of study?

the site says they release decisions til the end of may, but I’m hoping it’s a little sooner than that :)

@Katie

I applied as a Public Health Studies major. I’m really interested in their BS/MHS program with the School of Public Health. I’ve already met with the chair of the MPH program and I really want to pursue my undergraduate at Hopkins. And yes, I checked the mail today… but nothing yet =(

soon though… soon.

It came both via US postal service and an e-mail. We did not expect a response this quickly but she is an extremely qualified applicant.

Hi all, I found this post from Admissions_Daniel on Hopkins Interactive:

April 22, 2011
"Yes the Transfer Admissions Committee has begun reviewing transfer applications and will be reviewing the applications over the next month. Students with incomplete applications were contacted earlier this week so if you were not contacted you can safely assume your application is complete and under review.

Decisions will be released on a rolling basis starting next week and will be released throughout the end of April and up until the middle of May. Decisions are released both via e-mails and postal mail."

So yes, letter are being sent out! Congrats to DD for getting in! Remember to check your real and e-mail everyday! Good luck to all!

When do you guys find out where you live? I am curious because I’m a rising sophomore who has a double - with no roommate at the moment… ^^'

I read somewhere that some transfers were housed in McCoy? But I have no idea when since decisions are sent out on a rolling basis…

lol @johnnie hoppy

I am still waiting, my friend called JHU. maybe 1 more week people… via email (All results would be out by May 15)

Can we call them, or should we be concerned about the snailmail?

this is getting ridiculously long wait… so by sunday 5/15 we would hear via email about acceptance or rejection correct? Has anybody heard yet?

No word yet… but I wouldn’t rush them because I would rather they review the applications thoroughly and they did say this year is the largest yet! But don’t worry because they would send you an email in addition to the coveted large envelope… anytime now.

I guess my friend got wrong info for sure as I was reading this blog,… Last week of May :(((
