jhu visit

Hey can anyone tell me how I would do a college visit to jhu. I was planning to go the weekend of January 28 right after the SAT. I'm driving down from New York and was planning to stay in a hotel in Inner Harbor. Are there any tours or visitor information I should know about? I couldn't find it on the site. Help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Try this link on their website for information: http://apply.jhu.edu/visit/visit.html

Thank you so much

you might be able to arrange a stay with a student, which is cool because we're on break and they might be able to show you a fun time.

a good time at hopkins?

what are you going up to a towson party?

there's plenty to do in the area

On the topic of visitations, how important is to an admissions officer that i have visited the school (i suppose only AdmissionsDaniel will be able to answer this question)?
Will my application be hurt if i don't visit the school until april vacation?

FlyinV, though I am not AdmissionsDaniel, I work for him and I can answer your question as I have been asked it a bunch of time while working in the Admissions Office....

Simple answer is no your application will not be affected by if you visited or whatever level of contact you have had with Hopkins. Other schools track your "contact rating" - Hopkins does but does not factor that in when reviewing applicants. It is more used to determine the likeliness of a student to enroll, and it helps determine yield rates. So don't worry if you can only visit in April.

And also, just a note about visiting campus -- overnight programs for prospective students are only available in the Fall. There are no overnights in the spring for prospective students, they are reserved for admitted students.

Hope that helps.

thanks laxfan04

And a thanks from me as well.
