JHU vs. Caltech vs. Duke?

I’d argue that JHU and Duke have one of, if not the best BME programs in the country. So pick based on fit. From your post, it looks like you like JHU the most.

*I meant to say: after first year, at beginning of second year

BLL****
JHU’s freshmen retention rate is 96.8%. The graduation rate in 6 years is 91%.

and to prove my point:

yes, Caltech’s retention rate is good. But no need to squander other schools :)

Duke or Caltech.

Baltimore sucks. I’d pick Duke since I’m wary of Caltech’s male:female ratio and decided lack of parties/normal college experience.

…and Durham is a dump. So what?

^^Baltimore’s pretty cool for a college town. It has sketchy parts, sure, but it’s a nice campus and is not too far from DC and Philly.

I liked Baltimore a lot, but after Duke’s Blue Devil Days, I decided I liked Duke better than JHU.
And I did end up picking Caltech, for those of you who are wondering
Sorry for this late response! Hahah.

I never did visit Caltech, so I’m just going off the assumption that it would be a good fit. I hope I’m right, ahah. I like their focus on theory, being surrounded by nerds sounds pretty cool, and I figured that being afraid of the workload or being afraid of having to work hard was a stupid reason to cross out a college choice. And I’m not a picky person, so I know I will at least not be unhappy! :D
