Okay so I am really torn between these three schools. UMD would be completely free but duke and jhu are ranked higher and are prominent in the medical field. I also like the school spirit atmosphere at both duke and umd, but I would be able to participate in sports at jhu (which is division 3 so sports are not as intense). I also like how jhu and duke give off that college-vibe (maybe because the buildings on the campuses are older and umd just looks like regular buildings). I want to major in something neuroscience related so all three schools have my major. I would pick jhu but I would be expected to pay ~52k and even with my appeal to their financial aid office, I’m only expecting them to lower it to about 10-20k (my fafsa efc is ~14k), and I have to consider how much that amount would increase with summer jobs and paid internships I will be getting in the next 4 years. Currently I would be expected to pay about 20k at duke. Help?
