hey guys, can someone please help me find a similar data table as this for UCB (http://career.berkeley.edu/MedStats/top20.stm) for JHU? I really want to compare both colleges on this basis thanks!!!

I don’t believe JHU has such a table.

This is good information for UCB but the problem with looking at these numbers and statistics is that you will have no idea where you will fall on those tables; schools don’t make the students, students make the school. Basically, these tables are not reliable in self-assessing where YOU fall in the grander scheme of a medical college applicant pool.

It pretty much comes down what you do in your four years at each school. You cannot simply base your college decision based on where students were admitted to graduate/law/medical school. For example, if you went to Berkeley because they sent more students to Stanford Med and then you apply to Stanford Med and you aren’t admitted, now what? It cannot play a big part. It’s a very NARROW perspective on how to choose a college so I would encourage you to look at class sizes, residential options, cost, location and the intellectual environment.

Don’t get wrapped in the numbers because they will all be 5 years old when it is your turn - it comes down to what you do with your resources. GL

thanks…yea i really understand what you are saying, but such tables really instill a sense of confidence.

so once again, anyone have such a table for JHU?

As Wealth said, Hopkins does not release such a table but they have around an 85% acceptance rate into med school for those who have pre-medicine academic advising.
