JHU vs. USC vs. UMICH

I got accepted to all three (JHU engineering, USC engineering, UMICH L.S.A. but would transfer to UMICH engineering after soph. year if I went there) as a computer science/computer engineering major. I'm having a lot of trouble deciding among the three for some obvious and not so obvious reasons.

Hopkins is supposed to have one of the toughest grading schemes in the U.S., and is allegedly "where the fun goes to die." It does, however, have a lot of prestige to its name, and I'm not sure if it truly is as bad as people make it out to be. Basically, is the education really that cutthroat for engineers as people say, and does it really have that bad of a social life?

USC has very solid undergrad. engineering, with an even better grad. engineering from what I understand, which makes it a huge plus in my books. Its also stationed relatively near all of the major computer companies because it's in Cali... and it's in cali - great weather. It is supposed to have a great social life with the D1 sports and large student body, and I never hear of the school being cut throat, so I would assume it's not (please correct me if I'm mistaken).

UMICH has been my dream school for sometime because of how well balanced it is with school work, prestige and social life. But when it comes down to JHU, which has more prestige (and with it more school work) and less of a social life, and to USC, which has less prestige, but, from what I understand, a better comp. engineering program, and more or less the same social life, it's a really hard choice to decide.

I have currently been switching on and off on which school is my favorite. I visited JHU and found the campus to be nice and Baltimore to suck. Also, I met a senior that told me "Don't come here, look at your other college choices - I only came here because my parents made me." I spent a summer at UMICH and loved it, and I have yet to visit USC.

If someone can give me some insight on this to try to make my decision a little better/clearer, it would be well appreciated.
