Good move on FSU's part. Jimbo's in demand as head coach with him being discussed, at least in passing, as possibly being asked to be HC at Auburn, Arkansas, Southern Miss and Georgia Tech.

I agree. jimbo looks like he works well with the players and seems like he can recruit. I think this will help a lot!

His intensity is refreshing. Jimbo wants to win.

I couldn't agree more gentlemen. We all love Bowden - he is the only coach I can ever remember at FSU, but the time has come.

I've been on the lookout for this and we all knew it was coming, but what a gut punch it was and how surprising is THAT!

My first reaction to your post NYCD was "Oh" and tears.

I'm happy for Ann that she'll have Bobby around more and I understand that it is probably time, but I don't know a FSU without Bobby so I'll probably be crying all day.

Bobby Bowden lives in my neighborhood. :-)

Hi Kaitlin:
You live in Killearn, huh?

I was the membership director at the Killearn Country Club in the mid 90's and I loved that place! I'm hoping they've updated the Inn and facilities since the :-)

I remember we used to get calls all the time from golfers who were angry at Mike Martin. Seems he would come home from baseball practice, head out to his back yard on the golf course (hole 6???) and start hitting balls back towards golfers :-0 HA HA HA HA

At the time - not so funny because I had to deal with irate players, but Mike didn't like them breaking his windows...

I talked to Ann a few times while working there and she was always such a gracious lady.

Yep, I do!
I don't think they've really updated, my dad plays golf there a lot, and it looks pretty....not modern.

Funny story, too!
