Decided to start this thread since decisions are going to be out in a couple weeks. Good luck everyone!
Does anyone know the exact date?
last year they came out on march 23 I believe
If RDs came out on March 23 in 2015, which was a Monday, I would thing that this year RDs would come out on the next Monday, March 21.
It varies each year. Don’t count on any particular day. Unfortunately, there is no way to know. Hang in there.
@GuateMom I really hope so! It’d be much easier on us if they just told us what day they plan to release decisions, right?
@40yearoldvirgin It sure would be easier. Maybe today. Fingers crossed.
@GuateMom Do you know what time they released last year/ how it was announced? Thanks! and best of luck
Last year (2015), the first notices of JMU posting regular descions at mymadison.com began appearing in discussion threads on collegeconfidential.com on Monday, March 23 between 7:15-7:30pm. In 2014, it was around 4pm on Wed, March 26. The date and time decisions are posted seems to vary from year to year, but it seems the school posts sometime in the last full week of March.
@GuateMom thank you!
Any news?
Not yet, @40yearoldvirgin. Maybe we’ll hear later today.
JMU has posted. My daughter did not get in … so very sad for her.
Yup, the My Madison portal was updated this afternoon!
My decision is up too!
Mine is up there. JMU 2020!!
Woo hoo!! My daughter got in!! That is great news after recently being rejected by U of Washington - Seattle, and wait-listed at Virginia Tech.
@collegemother1, please tell her not to be too discouraged. There are plenty of great schools out there that would love to have her I know. My daughter was accepted, but she’s been rejected and wait-listed by others. Same was true for my son 4 years ago and who’s not preparing to graduate despite those rejections. Sometimes the admissions process seems kind of random. The point is, trust that she’ll get into the best school for her.
@collegemother1, CORRECTION -----…Same was true for my son 4 years ago, and who’s NOW preparing to graduate, despite those rejections. Sometimes the admissions process seems kind of random. The point is, trust that she’ll get into the best school for her.
Congrats to all…I am a parent of a current Sophomore at JMU (also had 1 son graduate from Va Tech) if you have any questions, I will be happy to try and answer.
