JMU Acceptance Chances

Hello everyone,

I'm finishing up my college applications for early action, and I was just a bit curious as to what other people think of my chances of getting into James Madison are. I've been told by people that I should be able to get in, I'm just a bit nervous and want to see what others think based solely on what I write here. Here goes:

3.3 UW/3.7 W GPA
1810 SAT (1200 CR/M)
6 APs by graduation (Right now, I scored two 5s and a 3 on the tests I completed)
Class Representative, 4 years
Board of Education Representative, 1 year
Jazz Band Section Leader (Percussion), 4 years
400 Hours of Community Service
Drama Club Member (2 lead roles, 4 roles total), 2 years
National Junior, National, Tri-M Music, and English Honor Societies
Tri-M Music Honor Society President
4 Varsity Letters (Soccer, Wrestling, Swimming for two years)

That's all I can think of off the top of my head (I have this all written down, I'm not at home right now). Like I said, I feel as though I'd be a good fit for this school. What do you guys think? Please be honest, and thanks again!

I think you have a good chance of getting in! I know they look for strong upwards trends in grades too so as long as you have kept improving I think you have a great chance. I am about to send in my application too and I am so nervous, good luck!

You have a very good chance of getting in. My standardized test scores were much lower, I only took one AP and I did not have many extra curriculars yet I got in. If I got in I don’t see how you won’t.
