JMU accepted students

I'm a currently a junior in high school from the east coast. I recently visited JMU and feel in love with the campus and the people. I've been looking at their credentials and i'm kinda nervous if I could even get in! My gpa is 3.4 - which I know is low for what they are looking for but I have played varsity sports all three years and all three season every year, I take all honors courses and every year I volunteer and participate in Relay for Life. I am female. I'm taking my first SAT in about a week or so and also taking the ACT in april and other dates as well so I can't really give you much information on that seeing that I haven't taken them yet. Next (senior) years schedule-
AP Earth Science
Psychology
Economics
English 41
Computer info (required)
French 60 (highest level available)
and Pre-calculus

Do you think I could get in? Would it be easier to get in to JMU ed or rd?
And anyone who has recently been accepted it would be greatly appreciated if you could post your stats so I can see what they are looking for grades wise etc.

Thanks!

Hi there
I was accepted EA to JMU and I’d be happy to help and give you a little info on my stats…
I’m a white, instate female.
4 AP classes- 1 junior year (AP US History) and 3 senior year (AP US Government, AP Calculus, and AP Spanish)
SAT’s weren’t so great for me and are much lower than usually accepted by JMU (580 Crit. Reading, 460 Math)
2 years as a JV cheerleader, 2 years as a Varsity cheerleader, 3 years as a Competition cheerleader.
National Spanish Honor Society Vice President, Spanish Club President, Member of Senior Board.
Last but not least is probably what saved me, my GPA… I had a 4.0 on a 4.0 scale, and a 4.4 on a weighted 4.5 scale.
I can’t think of anything else to add, but if you have any questions I’d be happy to answer them! :)
