I believe EA applications were due November 1st last year (2 weeks earlier) so decisions may come out later than they did last year. Crossing fingers here!

Is anyone else seeing the Madison Scholarship hub in MyMadison? My son noticed it but it wasnât there before.
My son has the hub in the portal. Not sure if itâs new or itâs been there.
Exams for existing students wrap up Friday hoping Admissions sends out some good news before campus closes until 1/19

JMU website says they notify EA applicants mid -January. I also called admissions a couple months ago to ask a question and they told me everyone would be notified on January 15. Hopefully, they end up letting applicants know sooner.

I wouldnât be surprised if they stick to their original date this year. There are too many variables (Covid, recent snow storm). We were hoping for today based on their decision date last year!
Itâs difficult to wait. Would love some good news before Christmas.

My Sâs letter from 2019 was dated Jan. 9th. So maybe a few more weeks before we know?!

According the the JMU calendar, staff is off from 12/22-1/3, so would have to be either today or Monday. Also makes me winder if they would release decisions that close to closure since no one would then be able to address deposits, questions, etc. Looks like we might have to wait until 2021. 
Does anyone know what stats are needed for the Madison Awards for Academic Excellence ?? Son received high merit to USC but really would like to go to JMU - the waiting it so hard when they have so many other responses already.

Thereâs a Reddit post from a JMU freshman that says she got her decision last year on 12/16, which was a Monday. So I suppose there could be some activity on Monday before winter break. Or not. I donât know why the âKey Datesâ (see my post above) say late Dec to early January when there wonât be anyone working during that time. Although, itâs probably a quick procedure to upload decisions and could be done with the press of a button from home. The staff would probably prefer NOT be around to answer the onslaught of questions when decisions are released.

The Check Application Status Page now has a message that the Office of Admissions will be closed from 12/22-1/3, so it looks like we will be waiting until after the new year. As much as I agree with @TheRents522 that the staff would prefer NOT to be around after decisions are released, that would be very poor form. Happy holidays everyone!

Was really hoping they would post decisions today⊠maybe by 5pm ;). Last year, it was posted the day before they went on break⊠I think.

Decisions will most likely be posted Jan. 4 or Jan. 8 (Monday or Friday). Fingers crossed!
JMU is my sonâs first choice and we just want to know if he can relax or if he should cast a wider net (he applied to GMU and he was accepted, and heâs still waiting on VT and VCU). I want him to apply to a couple of FL universities, but I donât think he will until he knows about JMU.
