So Shenandoah is a nicer dorm? She just saw communal bathrooms and immediately thought the other dorms would be nicer! She’ll be a psych major, debating a business minor but not sure yet. Unfortunately when we visited we didn’t get to walk over to the other side of 81 to see how far it was. Hopefully we’ll get there again!
@NJWrestlingmom Yes…all of the East Campus dorms are the newest and the bathrooms aren’t all communal, but check on res life on that…can’t remember details why but my daughter actually ended up in Chesapeake not Shenandoah…it’s really easy walk through tunnel to main campus and buses running constantly…also nice proximity to food shopping within walking distance since freshman don’t have cars

For the MyMadison scholarships which my son may be eligible for based on an email he received website says mid-April 
Just looked at acceptance letter and it says mid -March there so who knows!

That’s what I heard as well with Madison awards from admissions. My son did receive an email from the College of Education offering him a Madison Award though. It did say there is no stacking of Madison and Dingledine scholarships though, so if he was to receive one of those for a larger value, he would decline the COE.

So they already offered the Madison award to him? Email my son got 2 weeks ago is that he MAY be eligible and had to write another essay for the Dean of Business.

We received the same request for college of business. Have been curious as to the decision date for merit awards, following.

The COB Dean’s email regarding Madison scholarships said she makes her decisions in early February. When the students are notified wasn’t specified.

Did your son receive the merit with acceptance? My daughters acceptance didn’t mention any merit. She wants to commit but I’m afraid if she does before merit comes out they may rescind the offer knowing they’ve already got her hooked. Even a little merit would help with OOS tuition.
No, has not received any merit aid from admissions as of yet. He received his acceptance, then he received an invitation to the honors college, then about a week later, he received the Madison through the College of Education. He is still waiting on the Dingledine as well. We are oos in MA.

Has anyone’s student applied to SADAH at JMU and gotten their decision? My daughter has been admitted to JMU but nothing from art school yet. No merit offer. Are they only merit offers for Honors Program admits?
just got my financial aid letter, was awarded $9,500 for a scholarship a year! still way too expensive as I am OOS!

Portal or snail mail?
Just checked my D’s portal and she received no merit whatsoever. Knew they were stingy, but thought she’d get something. Cross them off her list.

Hi. Was this a Madison award? Son checked and no financial aid award letter available yet… Are others seeing it even if no merit?
You said you saw the scholarship in the portal? Where would I check for a merit award letter in the portal if we did not apply for financial aid? I know there won’t be a financial aid letter in the portal, so would I need to look in the scholarship hub?
