Just a wild guess based on last year’s decision date. It seems JMU is two weeks behind from when they made decisions last year.

I think if he got into Tech, he’s likely to get into JMU, too. Good luck! Honestly, my son is just hoping for a deferral over a denial.

P.S. I looked back and EA last year came out on a Monday and RD on a Wednesday. FWIW…

So JMU hard to get into? I grew up in Boston so Im not familiar with JMU reputation but my daughter applied EA and wants to go there.

First day back seems unlikely. We can always hope! Maybe by the end of the week?

Does anyone have any insight? A lot of people are saying Jan 15 but I don’t know where they are getting that from. I’ve also heard this week.

So, on the JMU website, under Admission Dates & Deadlines, it says EA decisions are posted “mid-January.” However, on the JMUYou - Checking your Application Status & Decision page, it says “early January”.

We were hoping for tonight but it appears not, unfortunately. Fingers crossed sometime this week.

January 15th is what I was told when I called the admissions Office with a question a few months back. Who knows!

Hoping for good news today from someone’s earlier post. Any new intel out there?

My son emailed the admissions office earlier in the week and the gave the standard “mid January” response.

Sure hope you’re wrong…where/how did you hear they were behind? These kids have been through enough a little (hopefully) good news would be nice to at least ease one area of anxiety

Except that my son had been deferred by 7 schools so far, so this is just causing me even more. Can’t decide if I just want it over with, or would prefer not to know.

For my son, he’d hoped to reduce the number of colleges he was applying to by hearing from JMU. January 15th is the RD due date for many of his alternate choices. He’ll need to cast a wider net if the JMU decision is still unknown in the next couple of days.
