Hello thanks for chancing me so I will return the favor. Your sat scores are definitely in the range the reading might be a little on the lower end though. But you have a great gpa with rigorous courses. Also being instate should help a little bit but I think you have a great chance goodluck.

psh yeah, you’ll get in (most likely!)
However, JMU puts a LOT of people on the waitlist, so do be aware of that.
If you get waitlisted, DONT freak out. Continue to get great grades for quarter 3, write them a letter, and maybe even an added creative thing to the office of admissions and you will definitely stand out.

I had a 3.5, math=560 and reading=510 and got waitlisted. I got all A’s quarter 3, wrote them a letter and made them a stained glass that said “I <3 JMU” and soon after I got in!! This is the best school around, I swear. It’s hard, but the people are very chill, accepting, FUN, school-spirited, nice, and smart. Get accepted. Come. :)

And i have even emailed my admissions counselor asking about admissions interviews (sadly they dont offer appointments) and expressed that jmu is my #1 and i will do anything to be accepted haha. At least, i got my name out there, although im not sure she is the one reading apps!

So Jan 15th is the official date also how are we gonna check the status I think I read somewhere they are gonna send us info before the decisions are online. Will we see it online or in the mail first

I hear that they send you an email with a code in it and a link, then you just enter the code and the letter pops up online. At least, i know thats how they do it for regular decision. And apparently the email just comes AROUND the 15th so it may come earlier! Im sooooo nervous, 14 days!!!

What that’s crazy you have great stats don’t worry you will get in RD like half of the people deferred get in RD. I was accepted but they prob just wanted some oos n minority

I think you have an excellent chance of getting into jmu RD. I was completely shocked that you did not get in Early action. You seem to be a perfect candidate for jmu and they will be lucky to have you. So keep believing in yourself and April will come in now time. I am rooting for you and goodluck.

I’m nervous bc I got a c+ on my semester grades for my AP lit class, 1 B, and the rest a’s. I’m in 3 aps this year, but I’m worried about that c+
