Hey, ok pretty much I hate my college (Mount Saint Mary's University...DONT GO THERE). Im looking to get out as soon as I can get into a college that I feel is worth transferring too. I got off to a bad start this year (Im a freshman), my little sister was diagnosied with brain cancer, as of now I have like a 2.3-4 GPA. I plan to shoot for a 3.5 next semester. I had reallll bad SATs all in the low 400's, Im historically a very bad test taker. In H.S I had a 2.7 GPA, which isn't good but I really spent 3 years there earning over a 3.3 but my freshman year there killed my final GPA. I was involved with atheltics year round and did various volunteer work through my school. I plan to join several clubs at my college to boost my EC's. Do I have a shot for next year at JMU?

If you get your gpa up to a 3.5, I'd say probably. I know a kid who went there last year and he was far from anything special.
