<p>So I got into JMU today, which I'm pretty excited about because its my #2 school but now I'm waiting to hear back from Virginia Tech. Knowing that I got into JMU and I want to major in Biology what do you think my chances are of getting into Tech? Is Tech harder to get into than JMU?</p>
<p>Yes, VT is harder to get in to than JMU. No clue as to your chances for getting in since I don’t know your stats or anything. The good news is you’ve got one acceptance you’re happy about now, and a lot of people would love to be in your shoes.</p>
<p>Our DD also got JMU and is waiting to hear from Tech. Tech is harder to get into than JMU, and I think this yr it will be even more competitive due to the economy. I am curious how many applicants Tech got since JMU had @23K.</p>

<p>GPA is solid. I cannot comment on the SAT though because last years lower 25%ile was 1160, this is bound to go up, I would predict, by at least 20 or so with the economy.</p>
