Job after graduation!!!!!!

Is it easy for undergraduates in UMich to find jobs

Depends what you’re gonna major in, but
in general UMich has one of the strongest
overall undergraduate programs in the
entire nation…so…I think you’ll be fine ;)

If you major in Economics…?

Recruitment at Michigan is excellent. Over 1,000 companies recruit on campus. Most elite universities, including the Ivies, don’t usually get more than 300-400 companies recruiting on campus.

Obviously, employability depends on major. Nursing, Ross and CoE students barely need to look for a job. Most of them get recruited as interns during their Junior year and get offers of full time employment before they graduate. The average starting salary for students in those two colleges is roughly $60,000, not including bonuses.

Students from the college of Arts and Sciences generally place well too, although not quite as easily because most majors aren’t practical. Still, many major companies actively recruit LSA majors, particularly Science, Math and Econ majors.

All in all, you will be hard pressed to find a better university for professional opportunities.
