job in hs

well i need a job so i was wondering how hard it is to get a permit from your school and all that and where can i work at 14

You mean like a real job, and not intenship, research, etc right? In my town, 14 yearolds can basically bag groceries or volunteer at places. Sorry, I didn’t help that much. :o

I live in CA and the only job a 14-year-old is really qualified for and can get are the ones at summer programs where they tutor and the whatnot… Of course, those jobs only last like 10 days, but they bring in about $400, so it’s not too bad.

It depends on your state. At 14, a your options are pretty limited. Personally, I worked as a plumbing apprentice and an umpire at 14, but both of those were cash jobs so I didn’t bother with paperwork.

At 13 I discovered a cure for pancreatic cancer, but didn’t tell anybody because they are inferior to me. At 14, I reached pure divinity. And you’re looking for a job?.. psst!

Lol. On a serious note, it’s going to be VERY difficult to find a job at 14. Where I live you cannot even bag groceries at that age. The only place I knows that hires at 14 years and 6 months is McDonald’s, but you’re going to need a work permit from your school.

i already know some places i can work i was asking how hard it is to get the permit

Again, it depends on your state. Here in Michigan, it’s done instantly.

I live in Virginia, and all you need to do is go up to the school and ask for a work permit. It’s simple.
