I'm a current community college student hoping to transfer to Cal in a couple years. Environmental Economics and Policy and Society and Environment interest me immensely. However, I have heard that these majors are relatively new. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of job opportunities are available if you graduate with either of these majors. Is it possible to make greater than 80k with one of these majors? I don't want to major in something and not be able to get a high-paying job.

No major at Berkeley lists an average over $80,000 for new bachelor’s graduates. Highest is L&S CS at $76,733 for 2010 graduates.

For the majors you mention:

Can you name a job in EEP/environmental that makes over 80k their first year even?

Can anyone name/describe jobs that people would have, if they majored in EEP, as well? I think that’d be a nice supplement to @swimwonder36’s question, as well as the fact that…I’m also an intended EEP major and I’m shamelessly stealing his question.

The job doesn’t have to pay 80k the first year. I am just curious about job growth and the job opportunities. I have already looked at those links provided and I just wish there was more information form someone who has perhaps graduated with the major.
