I’m undecided about my major, but I’m interested in the BSI at the School of Information. I was also thinking about minoring in CS. What kind of jobs could I expect after graduating? Currently, I’m doing a technology internship at Quicken Loans.
What year are you?
2nd
Going into your sophomore year?
Undergrad SI is a relatively new program. It is definitely legit, but does not have much of a track record. How is your tech internship going? What kind of stuff are you doing in it? Do you like it?

Outcome-wise, they do a lot better relative to the actual content and skills learned their courses.
UMSI had their own career fair, but I highly recommend that you also go to the Career Expo and Engineering career fairs too because of the roles involved.
As a CSE 2015 student, i took a few of their classes as electives. A number of their course materials are publicly available online

For best outcomes, you will be expected to have a portfolio of works to showcase to potential employers.
Personally, i think the classes won’t teach you much practical skills. Many of those classes require you to write too many papers. I’m not a fan of 2 year programs, and the BSI would be better off as a 4 year program. It would be more useful devoting your time to watching Lynda/Udemy/Udacity/Coursera/Youtube videos on Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Sketch 3.
Go to MHacks. Meet teammates to work a project. There is also a career fair on the first night.

Because of the nature of this work, most work in software consulting agencies. If you’re not into consulting, this may not be for you.
My friend just graduated with a degree in SI and is having trouble finding work. She is getting a lot of offers for unpaid internships, but has yet to find a full time paid position after months of looking. I’m not knowledgable enough about these programs specifics to give you a solid recommendation, however, given what I’ve seen my friend go through and my understanding of the classes, your best bet would probably be to do computer science rather than information.
