<p>I would say that, yes, your reasoning is probably quite accurate, but also another contributing factor with respect to jobs, is that the major is somewhat broad, in a sense. </p>
<p>Usually with majors like this, it’s always better to minor in Math, or even double major Math/Econ. Of course, this depends on the school too. Some schools have different concentrations under Econ, like Mathematical Econ., etc.</p>
