Job Oppurtunities with a BS in Biology

I have declared myself as a Biology major. I'm relatively good at science and not that great at math. I enjoy many biological concepts such as the various human systems. I was wondering what kind of job oppurtunities you can receive with a BS in biology. I have heard from many people that there aren't many things you can do without going to graduate school or medical school. I was wondering what kind of job I can expect to get with a BS in Biology, although I may go to grad school later on. Thanks!

technician in a lab

With a BS in biology you will be a pretty lowly lab technician. Grad school is A MUST. Even with a masters degree, you’ll still be a technician, albeit a slightly higher one. You need to get a PhD to get any “real” work in biology, especially research.

Just wondering, if you have a masters in Biology, can you become a teacher? elementary, middle, or high school

You can become a K-12 teacher with anything that is a BS or above.

To be a K-12 teacher in a public school you need to complete a teacher certification program or apply for teacher certification through an alternative path. Just having a degree in a content area (such as science) does not qualify you to teach. Private schools are different and do not require teacher certification; they have many teachers with just a BA or BS.

^ Whoops, sorry I forgot to mention in my post you need teacher certification. But that would go with anything that is a BS or above. Thanks for clarifying, muddaof2.
