Job shadow thank-you...what's appropriate?

Email?
Handwritten note?
Someone also suggested to me sending a basket of goodies to the firm...candy, fruit, whatever else. They said it would make me stand out among students and show enthusiasm and appreciation. Would that be too much?

I don't want to seem like a complete brown noser. I was sincere the entire visit and do honestly just want to show my appreciation and how much I liked the firm, I just don't know what's the best way to do that.

Not brown nosing; just thanking them…good business ethics;

Edible arrangements

I’ve had a few students shadow me, and I’ve always thought an iPad was an appropriate thank you ;-)
