job vs. internships

if im applying for a pre-med major like biology or bioengineering, i know its good to have done some research or internships, but this summer i didnt do any internships or science-related work. i took an art class at community college from 8am-1pm everyday and then worked one job from 2pm-6pm and another job from 7pm-9pm (tutoring). im an incoming senior so it would be hard for me to get in any science stuff between now and the time applications are due. i was working so much and saved up all the money so i can pay for college. my family earns $100,000+ a year, but my dad refuses to pay to send me to go to a private school when he says i can just go to berkeley instead.

basically, do you think it’ll hurt that i didnt do any research or internships if i explain that i had two jobs instead and why i had to have those 2 jobs? thanks for any input.

Your dedication at two jobs certainly would be a plus. However I think it also depends on your ECs. Do you participate in other activities besides jobs (eg. science-related)? Perhaps give us some of your stats, that'll help out a lot.
